Dr. Dan Rodgers has worked in health care since high school, starting out in positions such as file clerk, IT support and medical assistant. His true aspiration was to be able to serve his community and help people. Since becoming a family physician, he finds that all of his previous experience gives him a unique appreciation for the role that each person plays on the health care team.
Dr. Rodgers believes in a team-based approach to all of his interactions with patients. This means not only teaming up with specialists and support staff, but also partnering with patients to decide what the best treatment is for them. He enjoys being able to see and care for a wide variety of patients, which is what drew him to family medicine in particular.
Before coming to Portland, Dr. Rodgers spent most of his life in Pennsylvania, completing all of his medical training there, including his medical degree at Drexel College of Medicine in Philadelphia. Then in 2015, he met his wonderful wife, who is from the Pacific Northwest, and as soon as she brought him to visit, he knew this was where he wanted to be.
“We love being surrounded by all the natural beauty in Portland, and by all of the fun social events the city has to offer.”
To unwind and keep life balanced, Dr. Rodgers enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter and Great Dane. He also enjoy exploring parks, restaurants and home brewing.
